Histologic Features
- An endophytic lesion driven in by constant pressure on the soles
- An extremely thick hyperkeratotic horn containing numerous rounded pyknotic nuclei of keratinocytes surrounded by clear spaces
- Hypergranulosis
- Large keratinocytes with intranuclear eosinophiliac inclusions and cytoplasmic basophilic inclusions
- Arborization of the hyperplastic rete ridges
- Large dilated capillaries of the papillary dermis
