Histologic Features
- Compact orthokeratosis of the extensor skin
- Prominent fibrosis of the dermis with an increased number of fibroblasts
- Numerous foamy histiocytes in solitary units and groups between collagen bundles
- Occasional Touton-like giant cells
- Lymphocytes in aggregates or scattered throughout the dermis
