Histologic Features
- A dilated infundibulum filled with keratin and many hair shafts
- Numerous basaloid lobules emanating from the follicular epithelium with prominent attempts to form rudimentary hair bulb and hair papillae, as well as the hair follicle containg hair shafts
- Groups of sebaceous glands present in the follicular epithelium
- Palisading of the peripheral nuclei of the lobules
- Fibrosis of the adjacent stroma
