Histologic Features
- A symmetrical and well-circumscribed lesion with smooth margins, characterized by
- Islands of basaloid cells arranged in a lace-like network or in solid aggregates
- Large cornified cysts
- Fibrotic stroma predominating over neoplastic lobules
- Clefts between stroma and stroma
- Primitive hair structure formation
- Foreign body reaction with giant cells around sites of cyst rupture
- Absence of necrosis en masse
