Histologic Features
- A relatively large cyst with
- A lining epithelium resembling the isthmus portion of the hair follicles by showing abundant pale cytoplasm, inconspicuous intercellular bridges and absence of a granular layer
- A tendency for palisading of peripheral layer
- Large cells with abundant pale eosinophilic cytoplasm adjacent to the cyst cavity
- Compact orthokeratosis as cyst content
- Needle-shaped clefts due to cholesterol present in the content
- Foci of calcification
