Histologic Features
- A normal epidermis
- A dense nodular infiltrate consisting of numerous foamy histiocytes, scattered lymphocytes, and plasma cells primarily around vessels and adnexa
- Many binucleated and multinucleated histiocytes with large atypical nuclei and granular abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm
- Destruction of adnexal structures and vessels
