Histologic Features
- Compact orthokeratosis overlying epidermal hyperplasia
- Closely aggregated globules of homogenous calcified material including the subepidermal area
- Scattered nuclei visible in the globule
- A foreign body reaction at the periphery of the deposit
- Transepidermal elimination of calcific material
