spindle cell squamous cell carcinoma
Histologic Features
- A ulcerated and crusted epidermis
- Plump spindle cells in short fascicles showing abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm but no recognizable intercellular bridges
- Prominent pleomorphism and frequent mitoses
- Some neoplastic cells contiguous with the overlying epidermis
- Destruction of adnexal structures
- Scattered inflammatory cells
