Histologic Features
- Orthokeratosis with a scale-crust
- Neutrophils within the epidermis, as single units or in microabscesses
- Irregular epidermal hyperplasia
- Vacuolar alterations of the basal layer
- A band-like infiltrate consisting of mostly histiocytes with numerous plasma cells and lymphocytes
- Edematous thickened papillary dermis
- A superficial and deep perivascular infiltrates containing histiocytes, lympocytes, and many plasma cells
- Dilated capillaries with thickened wall and plump endothelial cells
