Histologic Features
- A deep-seated lesion in lower dermis and panniculus characterized by
- Focal areas of hyalinized degenerated collagen with fibrin deposition
- Central calcification in the acellular degenerated foci
- Surrounding zone of palisaded histiocytes, foamy histiocytes and some lymphocytes
- Extensive fibrosis surrounding the nodules
