Histologic Features
- A broad and slightly asymmetrical proliferation of nevus cells as nests and single cells at the DE junction in association with
- Suprabasal spread of single melanocytes and small nests at some foci
- Bridging of adjacent nests of melanocytes at the basal layer
- Fibroplasia of the papillary dermis
- Pigment incontinence with a lymphocytic infiltrate at the base
- Scarring of the deeper dermis from previous biopsy
