Histologic Features
- Confluent parakeratosis containing neutrophils
- Hypogranulosis with pallor of the upper epidermis
- Regular psoriasiform hyperplasia with thin rete ridges
- Thin suprapapillary plates
- Subcorneal pustules containing neutrophils (Spongiform pustule of Kogoj)
- Edema of the papillary dermis with dilated tortuous vessels
- A superficial lymphohistiocytic perivascular infiltrate containing a few neutrophils
- Follicular plugging within dilated follicles
