Histologic Features
- A dense mixed-cell infiltrate around adnexae and blood vessels in the dermis
- Inflammation involving the fat lobules primarily
- Foci of fat necrosis surrounded by suppuration and granuloma formation
- Large vessel vasculitis with thickened intima, a dense infiltrate of lymphocytes and plasma cells in the media, and a thrombus within the lumen
