Histologic Features
- A papillated epidermal hyperplasia
- An increased number of large sebaceous lobules in the dermis
- Many sebaceous lobules open directly into the infundibulum or the epidermis
- Absence of normal hair follicles
- Many apocrine glands and ducts in the lower dermis
- An increased number of fibroblasts in a fibrotic stroma
