Histologic Features
- An extensive process which abuts against the epidermis and extends into the subcutis characterized by
- Extensive degeneration of collagen containing necrotic cells and cholesterol clefts
- Semi-circular rims of palisaded foamy and epithelioid histiocytes
- Many multinucleated giant cells, some Touton-like
- Large bizarre giant histiocytes with angulated cytoplasm adjacent to foci of necrobiosis
- Many plasma cells
- Scattered nuclear dust
- Stromal fibrosis
