Histologic Features
- A thin epidermis
- Prominent sebaceous glands of forehead
- Sclerotic widened dermis
- Compression of adnexal structures
- A perivascular and interstitial infiltrate consisting of lymphocytes, histiocytes, eosinophils, and many plasma cells
- Widened sclerotic septae of the subcutis
- Infiltration of septae by lymphocytes, histiocytes and plasma cells
- Lymphoid aggregates at the junction of septae and fat lobules
- Extensions of inflammatory cells between muscle bundles
