Histologic Features
- A relatively large, expansive lesion extending into the subcutis, characterized by
- Poor circumscription
- Intertwining fascicles containing plump spindle cells with striking atypia
- Areas showing atypical multinucleated giant cells with numerous nuclei, foamy neoplastic cells, neoplastic cells with atypical mitoses.
- Tangled fibrillar collagen between cells
- Lymphocytes and plasmacytes at the periphery
- Myxoid foci between highly cellular areas
- Cystic spaces with hemorrhage (angiomatoid type)
