Histologic Features
- Parakeratotic horn containing neutrophils
- Large number of lymphocytes and neutrophils within the epidermis
- Ulceration of the skin surface
- A lichenoid and wedge-shaped infiltrate containing lympoid cells with striking atypia, small lymphocytes, histiocytes, neutrophils and some eosinophils
- Edema of the papillary dermis with extravasated red blood cells
- An increased number of mitosis
- Neutrophils within vascular lumina with or without fibrin deposition or vessel wall thickening
