lichenoid drug eruptions
Histologic Features
- Orthokeratosis with slight parakeratosis
- Irregular acanthosis
- Hypergranulosis
- Vacuolar alteration of the dermo-epidermal junction
- Numerous necrotic keratinocytes at the lower half of the epidermis
- A lichenoid infiltrate consisting of lymphocytes and histiocytes, some plasma cells and eosinophils obscuring the dermo-epidermal junction
- A superficial and deep perivascular lymphohistiocytic infiltrate
