Histologic Features
- A highly cellular neoplasm with a fibrous pseudocapsule, characterized by
- A proliferation of monomorphous oval to round cells with a moderate amount of cytoplasm but ill-defined borders
- Fascicular arrangement of the spindle cells between vascular spaces
- Few or no mitoses
- A proliferation of vascular spaces lined by flattened endothelial cells
- Some vessels showing branching (staghorn)
- A reticulin meshwork between endothelial cells and the pericytes
