Histologic Features
- A large lesion with poor circumscription of margins, extending deep in the subcutis and characterized by
- Short interlacing fascicles (storiform pattern) consisting of a uniform slender spindle cells
- Oval fibroblasts at the periphery of the lesion
- Increased mucin in the stroma
- Destruction of adnexal structures and replacement of fat lobules
- Numerous melanin laden cells in the vicinity (Bednar tumor)
