cutaneous leiomyosarcoma
Histologic Features
- A large, poorly circumscribed neoplasm that extends to the deep subcutis characterized by
- Fascicles of spindle cells possessing elongated nuclei with blunt ends
- Fascicular formation intersect each other at right angles
- Prominent pleomorphism and numerous mitotic figures (greater than 5/10hpf)
- Many necrotic cells in pleomorphic and less fascicular areas
