Histologic Features
- A well-circumscribed dome-shaped lesion with epithelial collarettes, characterized by
- A proliferation of many capillaries arranged in lobules in the upper dermis
- Prominent endothelial cells (early lesions)
- Flattened endothelial cells (late lesions)
- Thinning of the overlying epidermis
- A sparse proliferation of spindle cells between vessels
