Histologic Features
- A hyperkeratotic cornified layer
- Hypergranulosis
- Irregular epidermal hyperplasia
- Vacuolar alterations of the basal layer
- A subepidermal blister with a few lymphocytes (Max Joseph space)
- Many dyskeratotic cells in the papillary dermis (Civatte bodies)
- A dense lichenoid and lymphohistiocytic infiltrate at the DE junction
- A superficial perivascular infiltrate consisting of lymphocytes and histiocytes
