actinic reticuloid
Histologic Features
- Focal parakeratosis
- Irregular epidermal hyperplasia
- Thickened papillary dermis with coarse collagen
- Many stellate-shaped fibroblasts in the papillary dermis, some as multinucleated giant cells
- A dense lymphohistiocytic infiltrate in the upper dermis containing a few plasma cells, eosinophils and some large mononuclear cells
- A superficial and deep perivascular infiltrate consisting mostly of lymphocytes and histiocytes
