Histologic Features
- Many bizarre-shaped dilated thin wall vascular structures throughout the dermis
- Slight atypicality of lining endothelial cells
- A moderately dense infiltrate of plasma cells around the vessels
- Unlined slits between the spindle cells
- Vascular spaces forming around pre-existing vessels (Promontory sign)
- Extravasated red blood cells and siderophages
- A spindle cell proliferation between the vessels with tendency to form fascicles
